Why We Exist

Every other gear site copies the spec sheet and calls it a review. "This interface features 24-bit/192kHz converters with a dynamic range of 114dB." Cool. But what does it actually sound like?

GearBooth exists because buying studio gear shouldn't require a leap of faith. We built the gear resource we wished existed when we set up our own home studios.

How We Review

Every product we review goes through the same process:

• Real recordings — we record the same source through each piece of gear so you can hear the difference
• Side-by-side comparisons — A/B tests you can listen to, not just read about
• Home studio testing — tested in bedrooms and spare rooms, not million-dollar studios
• Budget-first recommendations — we tell you what's worth the money, not what costs the most
